Terms of Use
Version 2
These terms are an agreement between you and the KMBridge Team ("we"), covering this software and its online services. By ticking the box during first-time setup, you accept them. Nothing in these terms limits the rights you have as a consumer under applicable law.
1. Licence grant
Subject to your compliance with these terms, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use this software on this device. The licence travels with the device and may not be transferred separately.
2. Restrictions
Except as expressly permitted by applicable law, you may not reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the software, remove or circumvent its licensing and integrity checks, or separate the software from the device for independent distribution.
3. Online services
3.1 Online services — activation, update checks, remote access and AI subscription — run only after the "Allow internet access" master switch is turned on, which ships turned off; once they run, this section applies. The Privacy Policy lists the data each service sends.
3.2 Online services are provided as they are. We aim to keep them available but do not promise they will be uninterrupted, and we may change or discontinue individual services.
3.3 Duration, price and refunds of paid services follow the terms shown at purchase; any statutory right of withdrawal or refund you have is unaffected.
3.4 If a licence is copied to another device or an online service is abused, we may suspend online services for the devices concerned. Local features are not affected; if the suspension is a mistake, contact us and we will restore it.
3.5 If we stop operating the online services, we will announce it in advance on our website. Activated licences and all local features continue to work.
4. AI features
4.1 AI answers can be wrong. Check before letting the AI control devices or change configuration.
4.2 When you use your own key, the AI provider's terms apply between you and that provider, and you pay it directly.
4.3 Do not use the AI features for unlawful purposes or to circumvent the AI provider's usage restrictions.
5. Integrators
Integrators who install, configure or remotely maintain this device for others must inform the owner and obtain consent beforehand, and act only within what the owner has authorised. Customer details entered when registering a licence must be lawfully obtained. Integrators are responsible for their own actions.
6. No warranty
The software is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. Warranties and consumer rights that cannot be excluded by law are unaffected.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, the software. This does not apply to loss caused by our intent or gross negligence, or to personal injury.
8. Third-party components
The software includes third-party open-source components; their licence terms appear in the open-source component list on the About page and govern those components.
9. Changes
These terms are updated as the product evolves, with the latest version published on our website and bundled with firmware updates. If you do not accept updated terms for online services, you can disable the relevant online features at any time.
