Set up
Once the bridge is connected and powered on, open the KMBridge web interface from a computer or phone on the same network.
Open kmbridge.localhttp://kmbridge.local:8080
If it doesn't open
- The computer or phone must be on the same network as the bridge; guest networks usually isolate devices.
- Bridge in another subnet: one on the same switch is listed on the sign-in page with the subnet to add to the computer; behind a router, open it by IP.
- On a phone, turn off VPN and mobile data first.
- Linux desktops need nss-mdns to resolve .local addresses.
- If the web port was changed, replace 8080 with that port.
- Still nothing: find the bridge's IP in the router's device list and open http://<IP>:8080.
More than one on the network
kmbridge.local opens one of them, and the sign-in page lists every KMBridge on the network; pick one to switch. Each unit also has its own address (such as kmbridge-a1b2.local) for bookmarks.
